Portable buildings are used in many different locations – yet many of these diverse products, used in a wide range of varied and important roles, seem to have evolved through a largely ad-hoc process. Very few demountable buildings have been designed with the end user’s specific requirements in mind, and fewer still make the best use of knowledge from designs that have gone before or the advanced technology available in other applications.
