Nick Wren – Managing Director
Nick Wren
Nick trained as a flight engineer and worked with Dan Air and Beechcraft until the mid 80’s. He formed Wren Interiors Limited in 1986 specialising in luxury penthouse and bank refurbishment projects, and was appointed as London Regional Manager at Darchem Building Systems where he specialised in modular construction techniques, and formed Extraspace Industries Limited who initially carried out installation and refurbishment contracts for the portable building industry.
Nick currently heads up the Projects Division at Extraspace, as well as overseeing the day to day running of the group.
Andy Hall – Operations Director
Andy Hall
After spending several years in the Household Cavalry, Andy joined the family’s marine salvage business, Charles Hall & Co. Limited. A few years later he purchased the company from his father, and created Covent Garden Oriental Carpets Ltd, before eventually selling the company. Andy always had an interest in product design, and joined Darchem Building Systems Ltd in 1990 to specialize in volumetric building design, and was already re-working and re-thinking the concept and design of traditional portable buildings when he met Nick. He joined Extraspace in 1993 and after 9 years of design and improvement, launched the ‘Expanda’ range of flat pack buildings in 2002.
Andy continues to design new & innovative buildings, specializing in flat pack/man-portable designs that can be used for humanitarian, war zone and aid relief situations aswell as the domestic market. He is involved in specialist and export contracts together with overseeing the overall operations of the group.
