A totally new way of building an office in your own garden. It’s quick, expandable and low cost!

With the current boom in people working from home, either self employed or remote working, the Expandakabin offers an exciting opportunity for some serious extra home space.

With it's attractive design, weather proofed galvanized steel build, insulated panels, optional full length panel windows, modular capability and ever growing range of accessories (including replacement parts), the Expandakabin is launching itself as a very practical option in the home garden space market.

The Expandakabin, by it's nature of belonging to the Expandarange, is completely man portable and arrives flat packed, so that it can be transported through narrow alleyways and located in difficult locations.

If at a later date, you wish to move your Expandakabin, you can, as it can be dismantled back into it's flat pack form for easy transportation, resell or storage.

Do you get fed up with windows and doors in the same places? Will you need to enlarge the building at some time in the future? - then Expandakabin is for you!

Planning Permission:

In most cases, you don’t need planning permission for an Expandakabin Office in your garden. In planning law, Expandakabins are fundamentally temporary buildings and do not have permanent foundations, like your house. Being below 2.5m at the highest point, the Expanda range has been developed to be within the ODPM (Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) guidelines.

Although you are unlikely to require planning permission for your Expandakabin these key questions are a good rule of thumb: You need to seek planning permission if:

  • you live in a conservation area or your home is a listed building, Flat or apartment
  • you wish to locate your Expandakabin within 5 metres of your home or it takes up more than 50% of your garden space
  • you want to locate your Expandakabin between your home and the highway ie front garden or you expect a large number of visitors to your Expandakabin.
