General
The portable building’s structure is designed and constructed in accordance with the following standards and technical references:

Floor
Steel base frame from 150 x 50 x 6mm channel sections welded together and infilled with 150 x 38mm timber joists @ 400mm centres, or timber based frame as specified. Floor deck to be 19mm plywood. Infill between floor joists with 100mm fibreglass quilt, retained on underside by layer of polypropylene. “U” value 0.25 W/m2. Steel/timber frame to be levelled and supported on steel shims.
External Walls
To be formed from 75 x 50mm vertical studwork @ 400mm centres with head and sole plates and central horizontal nogging pieces clad externally with 12mm plywood finished externally with textured paint or aggregate cladding. Infill between studwork with 100mm fibreglass quilt and lined internally with 12.5mm plasterboard with taped joints or ‘H’ sections. Finished with either three coats of emulsion paint or vinyl faced plasterboard. “U” value 0.35 W/m2. On completion provide plywood plinth to perimeter of building painted black. Plinth is only provided where required.
Roof
One piece Hypalon weatherproof membrane on 15mm plywood decking on 125 x 38mm joists @ 400mm centres with 12.5mm plasterboard ceiling. Insulate cavity with 100mm fibreglass. “U” value 0.25 W/m2. Provide 12mm plywood fascia finished with textured paint, Plastisol or aggregate cladding. PVC rainwater down pipes.
Internal Partitions
One piece Hypalon weatherproof membrane on 15mm plywood decking on 125 x 38mm joists @ 400mm centres with 12.5mm plasterboard ceiling. Insulate cavity with 100mm fibreglass. “U” value 0.25 W/m2. Provide 12mm plywood fascia finished with textured paint, Plastisol or aggregate cladding. PVC rainwater down pipes.
Internal Doors
2ft 9in x 6ft 6in hollow core sapele faced flush doors.
Windows
uPVC framed with top opening vents, double glazed with ‘K’ glass. “U” value 1.70 W/m2.
Heating
Space heating, where specified, is provided by 2Kw wall mounted convector heaters.
Plumbing
All plumbing is to be installed surface fixed in accordance with BS5572 : 1978.
Electrical
Provide where indicated 1500mm fluorescent fittings. Double sockets where indicated. External bulkhead light fittings. Provide frost protection heaters to kitchen and toilet areas. 13amp consumer unit with MCB’s & RCCD protection.
Emergency Lights
Provide emergency lighting where indicated on drawing, comprising of Bardic Piolet fittings: P2/NM/3T/ICEL twin tungsten, non-maintained 3 hour duration ICEL certified emergency lights. Minimum 0.2 lux illuminance in accordance with BS5266 Part.1
Fire fighting Equipment
Portable fire fighting equipment and exit signs by others unless specifically requested.
Incoming Services
Final connections by others unless specifically requested.
