The Extraspace Flatpak system is designed to provide a finished product similar to the modular building system. Flatpack buildings are delivered in panel form and constructed on site, which offers the following advantages:

Heavy floor loading

The building can be erected onto a concrete slab base which can be beneficial where heavy floor loading is required, such as for storage, light industry and drawing offices.

Higher ceiling heights

Due to the nature of this type portable building, it is possible to have higher ceiling heights than those available on the standard modular system.

Shipping cube

Where the portable building requirement is overseas, a minimum of space is required in shipping cube

Prefabricated: All panels are pre-finished in the factory, needing only minimal work on site

Storage: The portable building can be dismantled and stored away in a smaller space when not in use

Inaccessible locations: These flatpack buildings can be erected in very tight or previously inaccessible locations.

The system benefits from the same choice in external claddings and internal fixtures as the modular system, together with the pitched roof option. Typical uses for this system include; school classrooms, portable offices, nurserys and various government bodies. Recent projects include the provision of living accommodation in the Falkland Islands and holiday homes in Jamaica.
