Transpak – Technical Details

Base

Frame Construction

Cold rolled, welded, 3mm steel profile; 4 welded (container) corner castings with dimensions according to ISO norms; 2 forklift pockets on 2050mm centres, internal clearance: 352 x 85mm.

Insulation

100mm mineral wool slabs (density 16-24kg/m3; flash point class A – non flammable; smoke density class Q1 – low smoke emission, both in accordance with ONORM B 3800).

Floor base

0.7mm galvanized steel sheet.

Floor

22mm chipboard, water resistant (V100), formaldehyde free (E1); 1.5mm synthetic floor covering (flash point class B1 – difficult to burn, smoke density Q1). Welded seams; water-soluble adhesive, environment friendly.

In sanitary units, the synthetic floor covering is laid to floor and approx 100mm up each wall, all seams being welded. Additional strengthening is provided in the area where the boiler is positioned. These units are not available in flat pack form.

Roof

Frame Construction

3mm welded steel profile; 4 (welded) container castings, dimensions in accordance with ISO norms.

Roof Covering

0.7mm galvanized steel sheet, welded along whole unit length.

Insulation

60 mm PU-foam + 40 mm rockwool mineral wool slabs (density 16-24 kg/m3) + insulation foil.

Roof Covering – Interior

10mm chipboard coated both sides; colour: white; V20 quality, formaldehyde free (E1).

CEE Connection

Sunken frontal roof frame.

Galvanized steel sheet door on hinges, 40mm insulation. (875 x 2000mm, internal clearance: 811 x 1968mm).

Veneered wooden door, hung to left or right opening, door sizes:

  • 875 x 2000mm

Windows

Office Unit

Upvc window frame 980 x 1150mm in white, double glazed with vacuum sealed unit. Single hand operated tilt ‘n turn mechanism complete with light grey coloured plastic roller blind with burglar proof fixing and blind fastener.

Sanitary Unit

Upvc window frame 780 x 650mm in white, double glazed with vacuum sealed obscure glass. Single hand operated tilt mechanism and camouflage painting.

Important:

The vacuum sealed glazing units fitted to the office and sanitary units are suitable for use at altitudes from 0 to 1.100m above sea level. When used at altitudes below 0 or above 1.100m, a pressure compensation test must be undertaken.

Electrical Installation

Electric cabling is concealed, and in sanitary units in moisture resistant specification.

All parts fulfill OVE/VDE norms, also permitted in Switzerland.

Technical Data

Voltage 220/380V, 50Hz

For example: 20ft x 8ft office unit:

  • Exterior connection supply according to CEE norm,
  • 5 pole/32Amp socket and plug,
  • A wiring diagram is supplied for installation purposes inside the unit.
  • Distribution enclosure:
    • Residual current circuit breaker 40/4E-0.03 Amp,
    • 16 Amp circuit breaker (light &/or heater)
    • 16 Amp circuit breaker (wall sockets)
    • 2 twin wall sockets
    • 1 Light switch
    • 2 twin batten fluorescent lights with diffusers
    • 36 Watt (single batten only in sanitary units)
  • Earthing:
    • 1 galvanized strip iron earth electrode (25 x 4mm) with fastening.
    • It is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange for the earthing installation on site.

Plumbing

Cold Water Supply

Galvanized steel pipe fed through unit wall. Pipe diam: 1/2″, 3/4″ or 1″.

Hot Water Supply

By electric boiler. Size subject to unit type: 5 litre, 150 litre or 300 litre capacity.

Important:

Tanks are designed for a working pressure of 6 bar max. Higher water pressures will demand the fitting of a pressure reduction valve.

Foul Water

Collected in plastic pipes (50mm to 100mm diam) for discharge through the wall of the unit into an authorised sewage network in accordance with local regulations governing disposal of foul water.

Heating & Ventilation

Prices upon application.

Heating by thermostatically controlled &/or temperature controlled electric radiators or electric fan heaters. Mechanical air circulation via electric ventilators. Air conditioning can be supplied if required. Regular ventilation of the rooms has to be provided @ a relative humidity of 70% should not be exceeded.

Finish

Single component plastic coating RAL 5010 (blue) as standard, prices and other RAL colours upon request.

Insulation – U Values

  • Floor: 0,25 W/m2K
  • Roof: 0,25 W/m2K
  • Walls: 0,35 W/m2K
  • Windows: 2,00 W/m2K

Accoustic Insulation Value

33 – 44dB (in accordance with ISO L40/V).

Load Bearing Capacity

Max loading capacity Permitted total pressure (on the basis of units stacked 3-high):

  • Floor: 2.0 kN/m2 (working load) 2.5 kN/m2
  • Roof: 1.0 kN/m2 (snow pressure) 1.5 kN/m2

Wind Resistance

Units stacked in multiples which are exposed to strong winds should be secured by using stacking cones, twistlock connectors and steel wire rigging.

Sitting & Erection

Units can be stacked 3-high subject to meeting structural &/or siting demands. Any individual unit should always be mounted on either wooded or concrete foundation bearers.

The same applies to the combining of several units in a cluster where they must be positioned over concrete bearers or slabs. Foundation parameters and frost depths would be subject to local demands and soil conditions.

Level foundations are necessary for problem-free positioning and friction-free erection of any combination. For assembling please read the appropriate mounting instructions.

Handling

With overhead rope/chains, 60 degree (4 corners), forklift, side spreader (single).

Due Compliance

Germanischer Lloyd approval.

The buyer will be responsible for ensuring due compliance with every statute, regulation, bye-law or other lawful requirement whether of government or any local authority affecting the carriage, storage, positioning and erection of any unit type howsoever the buyer may use such equipment and advise Extraspace of any such demands as may be appropriate.
